Goldsmith-Schiffman Elementary School

Project Description: Goldsmith-Schiffman Elementary is a new 123,000-square-foot school that houses 800 students in 44 classrooms in the Big Cove community. Big Cove began as a rural farming community. During the 1990’s, the population grew and Hampton Cove Elementary School was constructed on the north side of Highway 431. Over a span of 15 years, the population steadily increased, necessitating the construction of a new elementary school to accommodate the more than 1,000 students at Hampton Cove Elementary.

GTEC Services: John Corbell served as Geotechnical Engineer and Construction Materials Testing Staff Engineer.
