Project Description: 2.0-million-gallon tank with a 170-ft pedestal
GTEC Services: GTEC was the engineer of record for geotechnical engineering on the project. We performed soil test borings, rock coring, and laboratory testing on soil and rock samples to provide foundation recommendations for driven H-Pile foundations bearing on limestone bedrock. Construction Services performed at this site include: soil density testing, piling driving observations, dynamic pile-load testing, concrete sampling and testing, steel reinforcing observations, and welding inspections. GTEC also performed on-site shear wave velocity testing to provide a more representative estimation of seismic site classification.
