Project Description: The Stella at Five Points is a Class A multifaceted development nestled within the historic Five Points and Old Towne neighborhoods of Huntsville. A few features of this site include 352 apartments, 3,500 square feet of retail and dining space, sculpture garden, pet spa, artist studios, covered parking with EV charging, and rooftop observatory. This complex caters to artists by providing unique amenities including a makerspace and a podcast room fitted with recording equipment and soundproofing panels. Stella at Five Points is located just a few blocks in either direction from downtown Huntsville and the base of Monte Sano Mountain. GTEC was the recipient of the 2024 ABC Excellence in Construction award for the submittal of this project.
GTEC Services: GTEC provided engineering and numerous types of materials testing and inspection services during the project’s construction phase. GTEC provided on-site observations after demolition of old structures, drainage culverts, during removal of poor soils, and through the improvement to Pratt Avenue. GTEC then utilized our nearby laboratory to provide a cost-effective and time-efficient materials testing program. Some of the services provided by GTEC include:
